15. On a certain day it took Bill three times as long to drive from home to work as it took Sue to drive from home to work. How many kilometers did Bill drive from home to work?
(1) Sue drove 10 kilometers from home to work, and the ratio of distance driven from home to work time to drive from home to work was the same for Bill and Sue that day.
(2) The ratio of distance driven from home to work time to drive from home to work for Sue that day was 64 kilometers per hour.

I got problem understand Statement 1 and 2. Can someone explain this in algebraic equation or in layperson language??

Question tells us if Sue took t hours to reach office, then Bill took 3t hours.

Statement 1:
Tells us that Sue travelled = 10 KM and ratio of distance driven from home to work time (Basically the speed) is same for both Sue and Bill.
Sue's speed = 10/t
Bill's Speed = D/3t (assuming Bill travelled D KM).
So as per this statement 10/t = D/3t => D = 30 KM
Question can be answered with this statement alone. Answer can only be A, or D.

Statement 2:
Tells us that Sue's speed = 64 KM/Hour. But no relation is given between Sue's speed and Bill's speed so this statement alone is insufficient.

Answer A.
