incomplete? this question is familiar but it sems like u are missing some info - where is choice a and b?

the question is only telling you that 10% of speeders get tix and 20% of speeders dont, but it gives you no clue to the total # of drivers. Did you copy the question correctly?

Lets say x=total motorists, and x = 160

0.10(160)= 16 (motorists that exceed the posted speed limit and receive speeding tickets)

Let say y are the ones who exceed speed limit but didtn get a ticket.

(16+y)0.2=y
y=4

Total of motorists who exceed the Speed L. => 16+4=20

20/160=1/8=12.5%
