Lets say there is 100 Gallons of drink, so 40 Gallons orange juice and 60 Gallons orange juice.

Now we want to add x Gallons of orange juice, so that (40+x)*100/(100+x) = 60

=> 4000 + 100x = 6000 + 60x
=> 40x = 2000
=> x = 50

100 Gallons need = 50 Gallons
1 Gallon needs = 50/100 = 0.5 Gallon

Answer A

(0.4+X)/(1.0+X)=0.6
0.4+X =0.6+0.6X
0.4X=0.2
X=2/4=1/2=0.5 gallon
