b/w A) and D). i think its D). "reason why" seems to be redundant.

if / then in GMAT is reserved only for conditional sentences so B is out.
Young people can loose their virginity only once they cant loose it more often so E is out.
One Reason why / Because is redundant so A is out.
C construction is ackward. it seems that the reason is 'young people lose their virginity more during the summer '.
Answer is D. Except for because A is a close choice.

Hello ywilfred - I agree D is akward but we are trying to choose the best here.
Dont you think 'the reason Why... because ' in A is lot redundant ?

Eliminate A and E...'reason...because' ...the word because is unnecessary
B changes the meaning
C is awkward
Leaves D...which is my answer

I vote for C. It compares "more summer than other times" correctly.
D compares "more young people than other times".

B is out because it talks as if there is only one reason. It sounds too certain of itself !! We dont have the meaning "one of the reasons" as in the original sentence.
C is out as the sentence construction is not good. After "is" we need "that" !!
