Overview:
This book contains three retired LSAT tests. In total, there are 100 RC questions and 150 LR questions. It shouldn't take more than a week to finish the book.

Pros and Cons:
The main strength of this book comes from the RC questions. The LR problems, however, are just okay (I never noticed a huge difference in difficulty between CR and LR). Still, it's an extra 150 questions. Another factor to consider is the affordable price.

Verdict:
This book is not necessary to perform well on the GMAT. I personally don't think that this book noticeably improved my performance, but everyone is different.

The RC section is good, but that is probably not enough to justify a purchase. Besides, there are plenty of RC problems available for free at GMATClub. Along with the OG books, that should be enough. Stick with those sources instead.

Thanks for this and I would like to advice you all to first finish your OG's before buying these LSAT books. After your Quant/verbal concept preparation finish off the OG's and then give GMATPREP. If you still feel you need some more improvement then only go for it else revise OG's again.

Just my opinion.

i disagree. of all the lsat books, i think it is one of the most useful because it is really the only source of actual explanations written by the makers of the lsat. the only downside of the book that i can see is that cr is only 2 out of the 4 sections of the lsat, meaning that 50% of the problems that you are paying you will not do.

look at this book like you are buying 6 cr problem sets (or around 150 cr questions) with expert answers. that is how you should decide if it is worth the price or not.

Thanks for the input and clarification, guys! It's great to have different views on this to offer the most information. Kudos!

I hope my input didn't come off as negative, but I didn't gain much from it. But that certainly doesn't mean that it's a bad book. If one needs extra practice with RC, then it's worth considering. And those 150 LR questions won't hurt either.

The explanations are indeed official. But these are official LSAT explanations. For our purposes, an official GMAT explanation is always best.

also, in regards to my post above, i forgot that the RC is on the gmat too!

so really 75% of the LSAT SuperPrep book is relevant! This means the price you are paying for the book is for 6 cr problem sets (150 cr questions) + 12 rc passages with about 75 questions + quality explanations. this makes the book even more worth it.

No need to get upset over that! I simply focused on the RC, while you (I think) emphasized the LR. That counts more as a different interpretation than any deficiency on your part. Besides, you made an excellent contribution by mentioning the price in relation to the quantity of questions - something that I failed to directly address. Thanks!

I think that the book costs about 20 dollars on Amazon. For 250 questions, that's pretty cheap and should be counted as another strength of the book.

But I would like to ask you something, if that's alright. Do you consider the LSAT LR or RC problems more helpful?

Thanks in advance!

I used Powerscore RC Bible and already started some of Powerscore LR Bible. That's a lot for me, so Superprep won't be a part of my verbal prep. But kudos for reviewing!
