I know there are a few folks floating around who are applying or already applied. Aside from the obvious name recognition, why are folks applying to Said?

Personally I'm interested in social entrepreneurship and they have a new center that seems to be doing some interesting research in the area.

Given the relative newness of the B-school I'm curious whether they will be able to effectively leverage the Oxford name to become one of the top schools competing with the best the US has to offer.

Oxford seems to be gaining good reputation. IMHO it probably ranks below INSEAD, LBS, IMD, ESADE and Instituto De Empresa.. At one point, I had seriously considered applying, but for now I'm going to stick with waiting for INSEAD results and then apply to IMD if INSEAD bombs.

Personally, I like that it's a one-year program. I also like that a large percentage of the student body is international (more so than most US schools) and, consequently, that there are more international recruiters.

Oxford is my first choice along with Cambridge.

I am not yet sure which one of them is better.

Wish you all the best for interiviews. Campus visits are always better and professors like it.

Let us know how it goes.

Does anyone know if Oxford releases decisions on a rolling basis or is it done on a prescribed date?

No... the decisions are released on round basis.
They generally give the last date for the decision and send the decision before that.
for e.g the last date for interivew calls for R1 was 17th Nov and the mails were sent on 16th Nov.
The last date for final call for R1 was 5 Jan. But most probably they wanted to finish the work by Christmas. So the calls were sent on 19th and 20th Dec.
