Hey,
I plan to apply for the above mentioned programs including cambridge MSc Finance. Which University would you regard as backup plan? HEC? They seem to have a pretty low GMAT prerequisite...
My Profile:
German - Study Economics in the Netherlands(English program)
Best of my year, but not able to use that in any recommendation letter (official statements regarding relative position are not provided by my Uni). GPA 9.2/10
Top 3% Scholarship
Honours Program: Additional courses, in my case Finance. 210ECTS BSc.
Organized some career events.
Have two bb investment bank internships when I send my application.
Tutor for first year finance course.
Various other extra carricular activities such as volunteer work in least developed countries, organized career events.
So far I am confident about my profile, but I did not take the GMAT yet. Because one of the IB internships takes place this summer, I do not have that much time to prepare for the GMAT. Probably will take it at the end of december, which means that I can only apply for R2 in Oxford. Because my semester abroad starts at UCB at the 15th of January, I can only do a telephone interview, which I do indeed fear a lot. I feel that I am not so convincing via telephone and my self confidence is limited, whereas it is completely different if I see the person face to face.
Best wishes!
