I received my official package today, and was really happy to find that it offered me full tuition scholarship!
I had my interview with Kevin through Skype. He was extremely nice, and he basically didn't ask me many "standard" interview questions like "go through your resume". He chose questions based on my resume and was extremely related to my past experience and my career goal. So the whole process felt more like a smooth conversation than a formal interview. Both of us enjoyed it much. And I really owe my special thanks to him:)

And on a different note, what is Olin's acceptance rate?

I am an International Applicant from India and have few queries:

1. How is Olin in attracting top tier Consulting firms to the campus for recruitment or are most of the jobs secured via networking?

2. How is the placement scene for International applicants this year? Olin seems to have lots of International grads.
How difficult is it to get an Internship in firms outside of St. Louis or do most students get internship in and around St. Louis?

Just got back from Preview Weekend, and the school really shined. Very excited to submit here in a week!

Also had a great interview with Kevin Kiley. Very conversational. Received an acceptance call from the Admissions Director and was thrilled to receive a full-tuition scholarship shortly thereafter.

I will likely be matriculating next Fall and started to look at apartments in the area. I forgot just how affordable St Louis is!

Olin has some trouble attracting the big 3 MCs to campus for MBAs, they come for undergrads in the fall and again in jan/feb.
There was one MBA at Mckinsey this past summer, he used off school networking to get it. That said, there were 4-5 MBAs that got first round interview with bain and bcg a couple of them got second rounds but ultimately no other offers. THose happened in Jan/feb and were through the school.
Other companies do recruit on campus, ATK, Booz/co, LEK, Deloitte etc they all give us a looks but its tough to get interviews at the core strategy firms without the standard high GPA, good undergrad school etc....unless you network.
The networking potential is there, many Olin grads are at each of the big firms, just not in big numbers. I am setting up stuff with a couple...alll through the network, but its more through other students than the school directly.

International students have a rougher go, we just started really ramping up the internship search but i can say that everyone from the last year had an internship. Most students stay in the midwest, lots go to chicago as well. Of the few people I know that have internships already all the major cities are represented except the west coast, but its still early and people are targeting it.

I expect the school to continue to attract better companies for MBAs as the years go on. We already are seeing IB and MC firms that traditionally have had a small presence coming to campus for info sessions etc. Olin is a place where you will have to do work on your own to get a job you want if the employers who don't come to campus, but thats standard at any bschool.

I have not yet sent Toefl and GMAT reports as the school's site mentioned that the applicants can send the same once admitted.

I hope that all those who are getting interview calls will also send the scores once they receive the admits??

Yes once admitted you have to turn in official scores and transcripts
