Congrats to those who were admitted today! I found the following linked article this morning. Apparently, KFBS has the second-highest average scholarships reported among the top 20 b-schools. Hope you guys get at least a little bit of money!

I didn't see this question answered anywhere in the thread: KF lets you schedule your own interview, but do they also send out interview invites to applicants? Or is the applicant 100% responsible for scheduling his/her interview, regardless of whether he/she knows that the adcomm hasn't already rejected their application?

Well I received an email from the adcom asking me to schedule an interview when they were visiting India. I hadn't submitted my application then. So I guess the applicant is responsible pretty much for scheduling an interview. This was just in my case.

Would anybody happen to have any advice on getting feedback on a rejection? I'll probably wind up at McCombs now, but I just want to hear it back from UNC for my own peace of mind. My application status are starting to look like a Christmas tree!

I scheduled my own. The whole process is a little strange to me, but maybe it helps the adcom better understand the entire applicant pool before vetting applications that would otherwise be dismissed without an interview invitation. On the other hand, it's strange to go into an interview at a top-20 MBA program with 1,800 applicants knowing that 100% of these applicants will have the opportunity to interview as well.

Someone please correct me if I'm misunderstanding the process.

Hi Guys,
What is the exact wording of first essays? On first page (GMATCLUB) wording is different than the wording on KF admission website.
Any idea??

I think there was a thread somewhere else with this same question. I believe the GMAT club quote of the question clipped some of it off. When in doubt, definitely go by the school's website.

Like all MBA programs they probably have a lot of people pinging them for additional information. The first step I would say is to just email the recruiter you've been in touch with and ask for some feedback. If you don't get anything at that step, and you definitely know you are going to another school, you could call the adcom office and ask, don't be overly pushy or anything, just let them know you'd like some feedback on how to improve your application etc. If neither of those work.... then I'm not sure, short of showing up at a recruiting event :)

Hi Guys,

Please can you help me understand how best to tackle the interview questions like Why MBA? What is it that the interviewer is looking for in this question?

Also how is it different from 'Why KFBS?' and 'What are you short term and long term goals?'

Thanks,
Ash

One more question that i wanted some clarity on ...
What role do you play in a team?

What exactly are the Adcoms looking for in the answer...my current role is a business analyst. But i am not directly leading teams as such...
Thanks,
Ash
