2012 MIT Sloan Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) Thread

Let's all hope the big wave of emails comes out by this Friday.

A few thoughts:

I looked back at the messages posted in 2010 and the interview invitations were sent via email on the first Wednesday of 2010 towards the end of the day. Last year they were sent out via email at around 10 am on the first Friday. I wonder when the invitations will go out this year. To those who receive invites please be kind and post so we know whether or not invitations have gone out

I am a bit surprised that the first page of this thread only shows 14 LGO applicants. I certainly hope that we have more than just 14 applicants participating in this thread. With only 14 it would be possible, althought unlikely, that none get an invite.

There are far more than just 14 applicants in this thread, is just that they lurk around without posting anything until there is some action: when invites come out, I am sure that we will here from them in here.

Count me as a (former) lurker. Hoping to get good news about an interview soon.

I agree, it's likely we'll know within a few hours when the invites start going out. That's why my heart jumps every time my email lets me know this thread was posted in.

Are the decisions coming out today?

Friday seems to be the popular guess. Either tomorrow or Monday - if last years schedule is any indication.

Im sure tomorrow someone will hear from LGO (hopefully everyone on the Gmat club will be called). Last year it was on the first friday of January. I dont think they will postpone it until monday. tomorrow is the day I am sure.

I know this has been posted somewhere, but I'm too lazy to dig it up: what percent of LGO interviewees get admitted?

Hey everyone, can you guys update your profile to increase the headcount from the 14 listed in the first page as we get ready for tomorrow? Just go to profile -- Schools -- (you may need to upgrade to the new gmatclub format) -- Select Sloan and then LGO. This way we can get a better idea of the sample size from gmatclub.

Roughly 100 people are interviewed for the 50 slots in the program. At least that is what I recall.

IIRC, they extend offers to 55-60 and their expected yield is 50.

I just joined GMAT club, I really thought we would hear something about LGO Interviewfest by now. I barely slept because I am so anxious!

I just joined, too. I get really anxious every hour on the hour. I'm really hoping we get some news today.
