Re: 750 Debrief - Feb Taker [#permalink]
To get q51 you can probably make no more than 3 or 4 mistakes, I'm not too sure but I guess it also depends on what level difficulty and the order of the wrong questions. I believe in that particular gmatprep test I had 3 wrong. For the Verbal to be 42 I had 6 incorrect in that session and they were non-consecutive.

Thanks for the reply....
During practicing materials... what was your accuracy in verbals?

I am scoring 50 in q but getting destroyed by verbals.
even though while practicing verbal my accuracy is 80-90% in CR , 80% in SC and 3 out of 4 in RC but when i sit for mock exam, my mind goes to idle state and becomes numb. I read but do not perceive at that time.
Please suggest. does this condition happen with most test takers or this is specific to me only. :(

When you say you get 80-90% ... is this on OG questions?

Re: 750 Debrief - Feb Taker [#permalink]
My accuracy was ~80%+ for the OG Verbals. I initially felt that I could not absorb the material nearly as well on mock tests and it greatly affected my verbal scores. The situation for me was that my environment was too loud and I needed to find a more quiet environment. Also if I performed well in quant, it usually gave me a boost in verbal too.

My feeling is that your nerves do not affect your quant score, but it has a great impact on your verbal score. So try to relax and imagine how things will go down.

Great score and thanks for the Debrief. I'll be using MGMAT guides and OG in my test preparation as well. Taking the test in May before the new section is added.
