That being said, I agree with you that having an admit is a blessing to be grateful for. Btw- theres still time for R3. I personally know two friends who got into top schools in R3 last year and neither of them were superstars.
Thats true, for those that can't afford to go into debt i sincerely wish they get at least scholarships if not the fellowship. Getting an admit and knowing you can't enroll has to be its own kind of turmoil.
About R3,...i know technically there's a chance but its not a good one. And i'd prefer to save my resources for next year hopefully. I'm wait-listed at Ross and Haas so technically still in the game, i'll try to boost my chances w/ those schools. Worst comes to worst, I think i may re-apply to those 2, plus a couple others next year.
I just really really wanted to go this year,...in no small part because of my age,..i'm 30. I'm getting long in the tooth.
