UCLA Anderson 2012 - Calling All Applicants

I got my admit back in January, and received the official package in February, almost a month after getting my admit email, and i'm an international applicant. Basically you get a paper folder with the official letter of acceptance and a brochure for admitted applicants. The only neat thing that you get is this nice key-shaped usb key-chain, that says UCLA Anderson on it. So seeing that you didn't get yours yet, means your package got lost in the mail, or they forgot to send it. Either way, I think you should contact them about it.

To R2 applicants, who have not yet received a decision, 4th of April is close, good luck and I hope you guys get the decision that you want

Nope you are not alone. Same happened to me. I got my R1 admit, was told by UCLA that the package was arriving via UPS/FedEx and then it never showed up.

After several emails, it turns out that the package came on DHL but I was told a wrong courier. Now I have moved out of my old address (seriously does no one read when I wrote in the application form that I am going to stay in my current address till a specific date ) and I have now already rejected the offer.

Email adcom and find out where your package is. They should have a tracking number for the postal service they used.

ps - Never got that package and now both UCLA and DHL is asking me where to send me an admit package for an offer that I have rejected....

Does UCLA call accepts in advance, or will everyone find out on Wednesday?

They do call students in advance.

What time (EST) are the decisions released?

R1 came out on Jan 25th at 6 am (do not know if it was EST or PST). so look for emails coming around this time. Phone calls happened a day before.

Based on the Jan 25th thread nobody mentioned receiving a phone call before getting an acceptance email. I do know Anderson calls accepted applicants but I think it is AFTER the e-mail release of decisions. Unless somebody posts otherwise, I'm going to assume today will be quiet.

Agree. Makes no sense to give a call when there is only one day left.

For what it's worth, I am a R2 applicant who was admitted in the first early decision group of this round. I received an email on 3/8 @ 513 pm PST saying my admissions decision was available online and to log on to check. I had to log on and click on a hyperlink from the main status page. I then received an email the next morning, 3/9 @ 1009 am, regarding fellowship money they were offering me. Finally, I received a call from Rob Weiler at 1255 pm on 3/9 to welcome me and to congratulate me on the fellowship money.

Long way of saying there probably won't be phone calls today unless they release the decisions online today. Hope this helps!

I had a different experience. Got the status change email. Then got another email 5 minutes later saying that an adcom officer reached me over voicemail and the email has the same info as she left in the voicemail.

Now I did not receive any voicemail or calls within those 5 minutes... so either call happened before, or status change email arrived late (I am presuming the latter as my interview notification email arrived a solid 12 hours after my status change on the application portal)

In!! My first acceptance finally! Its 4 am on the west coast and now i can't go back to sleep!!
