Re: MBA in Singapore [#permalink]
There's a lot of connections with France in that city, besides it being the major business hub of Asia. Countless global companies have Asian HQs there, and the people are very well educated and extremely competitive. INSEAD from France has a campus there, but also I believe that NUS has a joint program with HEC Paris, which is another well-known French business school (in fact French regard it as better than INSEAD, while INSEAD is more renowned outside of the country). I went to a NUS info session once and my impression was that a large majority of students are Asians who want to work in Asia.

Re: MBA in Singapore [#permalink]
Hello,

I am looking at studying either at the NUS or NTU in Singapore. My prime concern however is the employmen post graduation. Can someone throw some light on the employment stats after a degree from Singapore. I am an Indian citizen.

Thanks

It is absolutely coming to and worth studying in Singapore! As has been said by all, all banks have their Asian HQs here (apart from HSBC which of course has it in HK) and it is now clearly becoming, along with NY, the global hub for i-banking, more so than even London. In 10 years time, given its proximity to China, Indonesia, Malaysia and even India, Singapore will emerge as a huge financial superpower. So from an employment standpoint, it is very good. Only thing is Employment Passes are not being given with the same alacrity as before, but still, it's a great location.

INSEAD is very much here and a lot of people have moved on from INSEAD to excellent positions at all the leading consulting firms in the SEA region. McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Roland Berger, Monitor, AT K - ALL recruit at INSEAD. Similarly, NUS has a top-class business school (often ranked in the world's top 25 if I'm not mistaken) and would be another good choice.

SMU has a Part Time MBA program while NTU too offers MBAs in various formats.

INSEAD/NUS would be the top choices, definitely.

Hope this helps.
