There are quite a few bland photo montages.

The most absurd one I've seen so far is someone recorded a Gangnam Style music video with his coworkers...

I just called the office as well and they said that the 3pm deadline is now a soft deadline, I was told to try again in a few hours, and there would be no penalty.

I will get some popcorn and watch through some of the videos I can find.

Yup...will keep at it...I did submit a technical ticket and got a copy of it via email as well just in case.

Btw this cover letter is making me nervous. How on heck did anyone fit it into a single page with all the formal salutations, addresses etc? Mine is going 1.5.....thoughts?

Small margins and even smaller font :)

Dont think they expect the cover letter to fit on one page due to the formatting etc. 1.5 pages is ok

Thank you...I almost started tinkering with the idea of reducing the font and messing with the margins....still don't think tht is a good idea though, looks really cluttered fitted into 1 page...

Where does it actually state that the cover letter needs to fit on one page? I thought that was just for the two essays. My cover letter has about five lines on the second page.

I agree with str1der. Unlike the resume, the page length of the cover letter is not restricted. The only restrictions stated for the cover letter is that the TEXT BODY be no more than 500 words (not including salutations, addresses, etc).

Mine was 1.5 pages as well.

After an hour struggling to submit application (tried chrome, IE, and firefox) I was finally able to get it in through Firefox. Also reached out to admissions who confirmed no penalty for not getting app in before 3pm as a result of technical difficulties.

cause applying to sloan isn't stressful enough..

It is not specified as such on the app page. I read it somewhere as a tip and thought to myself - 1 page cover letter would look slick but can't fit 500 words in there with it :D

Good advice from all, as long as the text of the body remains in the 500 boundary we should be set.

Sloan's first lesson to everyone - don't wait till the last minute. :)

I can confirm its not a browser problem - I tried my desktop/ laptop / iphone / mac book pro ..... then went back to my desktop, kept at it for ~6 tries and it went through.

The time it did go through, I did not have to wait for the payment page to load

For those still trying - the admissions staff member I called said not to worry, they know it is a problem at their end and she said we could even submit by tomm morning if needed

Also saw the thread about regarding youtube videos, you can easily hide the video from others being able to view it by selecting "unlisted" in settings.

Yes, but risky to fiddle with it. Adcom folks specifically said keep it publicly accessible.

1-page is a nice-to-have not a must. I know admitted candidates from the last 2 years and their CL's ran into 2 pages.
