Can anyone let me know that if two events are occurring simultaneously, then is it really necessary that one event has to be the cause of the other?
I don't think so and D is absolutely doing the same thing.
My take B.

(B) is not correct. The argument says that people born with albinism are unusually susceptible to issues connected to excessive exposure to the sun. It doesn't say that others are not susceptible. You are assuming here that high production of melanin completely protects people from sun related ailments. This is one step further than (D). You say (D) is not correct because two events occurring simultaneously does not mean one causes the other. But when saying that answer is B, you are assuming exactly that and more.

As for (D), I may not be 100% happy with it but it works because it is vague. It says "melanin plays a role in protecting the skin". You observe two things happening together and you can say that they are related in some way. Whether melanin actually protects or produces something else that protects, we don't know. But we can say that there is some relation.

This argument provides that albinos, or people whose bodies do not produce melanin, are unusually susceptible to solar exposure. This suggests a connection between the production of melanin in humans and protection from sunburn and other sun-related ailments; we should look for a conclusion that draws this connection.
