Yes I am. Scored a 700. In the process of understanding the application process etc. now.

Another doubt. In case an offer for admission is made from NUS, how soon does the applicant have to accept the offer? Wanted to know so that I can get a general idea about submission dates and compare with other colleges. The website doesn't offer much help either.

Essay topics for NUS :-D

Please watch a video (https://nuscast.nus.edu.sg/PublicEvents/ ... Prof_Hsieh) of the commencement speech given by Mr Hsieh Tsun-Yan. Mr Hsieh sits on the NUS Business School Management Advisory Board which provides strategic advice to the Dean and the leadership of the school. For Mr Hsieh’s complete profile, please refer to: https://www.linheart.com/lead.html What aspect of Mr Hsieh’s speech resonates with you and why? If you were to ask Mr Hsieh one question, what would it be? (Word limit – 300 words)

We would like you to tell us about your post-MBA immediate career goals and how your professional experiences have prepared you to achieve these goals. You may do so by a 300 words written essay or a two-minute video. If you wish to submit a video, you can upload it on YouTube, change the privacy settings to “Unlisted” and email us the URL. Alternatively, you can send in your video to us in a thumbdrive or CD.

There are 3 more additional essays (2 of which are not applicable to all applicants).

1) Why is it important for you to embark on your MBA now? (max 300 char)
2) Have you ever applied to the NUS MBA Program or its Double Degree programs? If yes, please state the year and the result of your application. (max 300 char)
3) If you are a re-applicant to the NUS MBA Program or its Double Degree programs, please highlight your progress since your last application. (max 300 char)

I was going to apply to NUS as well, but I got accepted into SMU and will be matriculating there instead. Shorter course length and start date.

Hello People,

I have a GMAT of 710 and planning to apply to NUS as well. I was wondering what are the deadlines for NUS. The application process seems to be a bit different from the US B schools. Was wondering if someone can throw a light on the deadlines etc

Thanks

@freehandle: Have you tried looking at their website? I think they only have 2 Rds of application, and scholarship round is R1, which ends Dec 31 if I'm not wrong.

Hi

Has anyone been able to locate the questions for letters of recommendation for NUS intake?

Although I tried adding 2 recommendors after logging into NUS application page, but they have not received any sort of mail - the way it happens in other US B Schools.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

For the first essay, are you planning to take up qualities described by Mr. Hsieh and elaborate on why they are important for a business leader today? or write about how your personal qualities match up with those described by him, quoting examples?
I'm confused. Request help. Thanks.

Hi Amrit,

I submitted my application for NUS yesterday and I took the approach of elaboration of a quality and its importance. However, you don't need to do that for all the qualities as the question says which aspect you resonate most with. Plus take care of another part of the question as well in which you've to ask Mr. Hsieh a quation.

So keeping in mind the word limit, you can take either of the approaches. Going for the aspect you resonate most with and showing how you demonstrated that aspect in your professional life or elaborating on the importance of any of the aspects. But in either of these scenarios, you'll have to write a few words on why the aspect is important b'cos then only you'll be able to show why you resonate most with that aspect.

Thanks for replying alwaysursgd,
Helped to clear my doubts, now I am elaborating two qualities that resonate most with me and explaining relevance as per my personal experience.

Hi All,

Just need some thoughts on this :
In my resume, I am planning not to mention my academic qualifications as they are already mentioned in the online application. I plan to use the space for other info which can strengthen my profile.

Any views?

Thnx in advance!
