Kudos for your score and debrief. Is prethinking same as prephrasing. What kind of questions did you use it for.

Yes! Prethinking is same as prephrasing. This technique is applicable primarily for the question types for which you would answer just based on the info from the argument: Assumption questions, Must be true questions, Conclusion questions.

But you can also use this for other question types because prethinking helps you to get to the frame of mind to eliminate the incorrect answer choices.

It definitely helps but don't spend more than 10 seconds to prethink. If you couldn't its still okay. Go ahead with process of elimination.

Do you think that Kaplan GMAT math workbook is sufficient for GMAT. Were the problems on the real test similar to the level in the Kaplan book. Are there other good cheap resources for math.

If you think you are too weak in Quant, then go for Kaplan GMAT workbook. If you think you are an average student in Quant, then quickly revise your math from MGMAT books. GMAT math is definitely NOT in the same league as Kaplan Math & MGMAT Math. Nevertheless the hard questions will help you to build your math foundation to handle easy/medium level questions.
