Re: Haas (UC Berkeley) 2013 - Calling All Applicants [#permalink]
Hi!

My application status changed to "under review" a day or two ago. I was wondering if that is just a standard update for all applicants who have a complete application, or if that is a personal update and my application is being reviewed. If so, how long is a typical review time until interviews are issued?..or until waitlisted/denied.

Thanks,

Haas' online application "Test Score" section wants me to insert GMAT IR score. Problem is I took the test before the IR was in it.
Inserting "NA" or "0" gives an error.
Any ideas on what should I write there?

Just got an email saying my app was ready to be reviewed by Ad Com. I was freaked out by the short personalized email but it didn't really say much other than your app is now ready to be reviewed and if need be you'll need to submit original docs.........

eeekkkk working my nerves.

Hi.

I am applying for Haas EWMBA.
I know I don't have to enroll for the prerequisite course to apply, but does it provides any advantage?

There are two requirements:

1- Statistics prerequisite:
Data decision online workshop: Anyone has an idea how much does it cost. Is it wiser to enroll in a classroom program at some other nearby university?
2- Mathematics perquisite:
If your profile speaks of your mathematics skills, do you still need a recent coursework completed? What I get from the website is, based on your profile you might be asked to take this mathematics prerequisite. Is it true?

Thanks to you all.

You can either take a statistics course at a local community college or during one of the statistic workshops after you're admitted. If you're concerned about a low undergrad GPA or lack of quantitative background, completing the class prior to application submission will only help. As for the Mathematics prerequisite, if you score a 47+ in quant. on the GMAT you're covered. Just an FYI, the Berkeley Statistics workshop is considerably more challenging (and applicable for future MBA courses) and expensive than what you would take at a local community college.

Hey Guys,

Came back from my on-campus interview

1. Tell me more about your self
2. Why MBA? Why now?
3. What are your ST and LT goals?
4. Give me an example of your leadership style
5. How would your peers comment on your leadership?
6. What inspired you to pursue your startup and why did you decide to sell?
7. Questions

Overall it was a great interview. It was def a fit analysis and the interviewer read from a script and had my resume on hand. We ended the interview on rent control and the increasing cost of rent in the bay area.
