Hi m0ss,
You have excellent international experience, which is exactly what top schools are looking for right now. Your experience working in India nicely complements your goal of eventually working abroad again in a managerial role. However, I have been seeing more and more applicants with international experience in the last few years, so that fact while very advantageous does not alone guarantee admission obviously. You still need to show how your particular experience and accomplishments make you unique.
A couple obstacles you will face pertain to your undergraduate experience. First, contrary to popular belief, an undergraduate major in business is not always advantageous in the MBA admission process. Since you already spent four years studying business in college, you will need to convince admissions committees that an MBA will be valuable to you, that you still have much to learn, and that you will contribute to the school in a meaningful way. I would emphasize your interest in learning to manage larger, more diverse, international teams and your passion for operations and thus desire to learn more about this field in particular. Second, your GPA is quite strong but not outstanding. This makes a high GMAT score, particularly in the Quant section, even more important for the very top schools. The 700-720 range you are expecting may very well work, but a bit higher would be ideal. You may benefit from a few hours of one-on-one tutoring before you take the exam to get your score up just a bit.
Stratus Prep tutors, who have worked very successfully with individuals around the world using our virtual tutoring platform, have all scored in the top 1% on the real GMAT (770+), so you can be assured that they can help you attain those same high scores.
You definitely have a good chance at the target schools you listed. Wharton in particular cares a lot about the GMAT, so a higher score could help you get in and even potentially win merit-based aid if your essays and recommendations are particularly stellar. A number of our students last year were admitted with significant merit-based aid with profiles quite similar to your own.
For safety/target schools, given your career goals, I recommend Ross, Tepper, and MIT (a target not a reach), all of which have excellent operations and international programs.
Best,
Shawn
