Sloan 2013 (MIT) - Calling All Applicants

Received my invitation interview today. I'm also based in DC and am interviewing in Cambridge the week of the 17th.

24, 3.86 GPA, 3+ years in consulting

I got mine around 245 EST! Seem to be bucking the East Coast trend since I'm based in the great state of Texas!

Got my interview invite this afternoon for East Coast (Cambridge MA).

Congrats to those who have received the invite already and good luck to everyone else.

God I so hate that; and they are the WORST for it. They send 2-3x the non-admission status update emails as everyone else DUDRING admission status update time..

I'm an applicant from Israel. I have already heard about 2 Israeli applicants received interview invitations Tuesday morning (EST time). I didn't receive anything.
Given that indeed the invitations are sent by region and that there aren't so many applicants from Israel, should I forget about my Sloan dream by now?

I'm located in Boston and got an invite to interview next week. Little bit of a quick turnaround time, but I"ll take it!

GM from NYC - just got an e-mail at 9:46 AM. Invited to interview in the next two weeks! Cambridge here I come!!!

Bendo, have some patience. They will keep sending invites throughout the month of December and January of course minus the holidays in US. It is not even over for US East Coast.

I agree that majority of the invites are sent out by region but many times people from the east coast will receive there invite toward the end of the cycle. Many possible reasons for this.

Sometimes really good candidates will hear back from their dream school and they will withdraw their applications from MIT Sloan and then admission committee might have to reconsider many candidates. I am not sure how much truth is there to this theory but seems pretty logical to me.
Also, MIT Sloan’s admission’s admission process is as objective as it may come. I have complete faith if I am supposed to get an invite I will get an invite.

I just got some random MIT email about their healthcare programs. Wish it had been an interview invitation.

I received my invite last year on Dec. 16 and interviewed mid January. I'll be happy to answer any questions.

My supplement video hasn't been viewed by the adcom yet, according to youtube stats. My app status still indicates "Submitted" - "application is complete and being evaluated".

Can anybody share their video view stats and app status?

Youtube stats are not an accurate indicator. In order to register a view , viewer has to finish watching the entire video, so if someone from he admission committee watches your video and stops it as only two seconds left, youtube will not register it as a view. I hope that helped.
