Cornell (Johnson) 2013 - Calling All Applicants

It looks like they shotgun them out in bunches - my email was to "undisclosed recipients" and had the salutation "Dear Student"

I think that's how I got my invite last year. "Undisclosed Recipients" but when I got that, I was like "oh i don't care..." haha. I just posted this message on the OTHER message forum. If you guys are looking to reach out to current students, should you visit in the coming weeks, keep in mind that us 2nd yrs are completing finals this week and will start to leave next week. The 1st years have finals next week, so they'll be studying. If you want to set up a time to meet with anyone try to do so sooner rather than later so they can plan around their finals schedules/studying sessions.

Got interview invitation this morning.
Probably will do via Skype because it's such a rush to get a visa and fly to Ithaca.

Any Indian nationals received an invite ?

I didn't get one. Although, they might've sent the US ones earlier so that folks can plan their travel if they have to. Either that, or I am foolishly hoping that I still have a chance.

Things don't look good, only 9 working days left till the final decision date.

hey guys and gals, just wanted to offer a few words of encouragement.

i wouldn't fret just yet, johnson seems to be all over the place in the past when it comes to applications. last year when i applied (r3) i got an interview invite within like a week, but then didn't get a final answer until like 4 or 5 days after their published deadline. other people in that round got invited a few days before the final decisions were due and got answers before i did. i am sure there is a method to the madness but it is kind of pointless trying to figure it out. definitely don't lose hope though, i would probably be surprised if there aren't a bunch more interview invitations all the way up to the deadline.

and let me know if i can answer any questions. the application process is pretty much the worst/most stressful thing ever.

10 mins till 2:49... Maybe this is the arbitrary time that Cornell has chosen to send out invites...

I was eagerly checking around that same time too. But, today was silent for me. I am kind of disappointed since I was hoping for a big push before the weekend. Or, maybe yesterday was that push and I just wasn't in it.

Me too!!!! I am very disappointed I still have a slightest hope to get an invite, maybe next week...
