Goizueta (Emory) - Calling All 2013 MBA Applicants

Nope, that remains as it is until you are invited to interview. That's what the e-mail from Goizueta says.

I still have my "toefl" status as initiated but received "complete application" e-mail about 2 weeks ago. Don`t worry.

It's kinda weird though how their system works, cause i have applied to much bigger schools than Emory, and the process of updating the online profile and receiving an interview invitations was way faster....

So you think they gonna check our application despite OPUS status?

Was hoping to hear from them before Christmas break...

Also i dont understand why their Decision Release date is on 25th of january, earliest of most schools, when its taking them so long to handle the technical process of the applications...

Frankly I think it's taking them this long only because Emory has a terrible application system technologically. Most other systems are basically self checking which is why you get an application complete confirmation much more quickly.

Even when I was uploading the stuff into the application I was very worried about whether I had uploaded everything or not because there was no sort of application checklist at the end like other schools have which tells you if you are missing something. Instead you have to go into each section and check if the components are there.

Which is why i think it takes them longer. Although, how they are going to manage interviewing so many applicants in less than a month is beyond me.

Just a question though: the goizueta interviews are not blind are they? My interview is with an AdCom member. They will know all about my essays transcripts etc before they come to interview me right?

yes they are blind, the adcom will no have read your essays or transcripts, just your resume
