I have taken my gmat 23.12.12 and got 530(quant 47.verbal 17)My verbal section is so bad.How can i improve my verbal section.I am going to retake gmat next month. How can i improve my verbal score?

I badly need suggestion..............................

Have you gone through a complete set of verbal books? You may think that the verbal section is just English for which you need no theory but that is not the case. There are a lot of strategies that could help you get a better grasp on verbal questions. You need to first go through the complete verbal material of one test prep company (theory + practice questions). Then you need to do all OG questions thoroughly. You will certainly see improvement. Also, depending on your target score, a month may not be enough. Score improvement, especially in verbal, takes time.

Hi, I am not an expert either. Like Karishma says correctly, I also mistook Verbal too casually. Now as a non native I realize blunders I did.

If I were you, my simplest approach will be:

1. Analyze your practice scores of verbal - which specifically is your weak area
2. Take an appropriate course (I took MGMAT and EGmat both, as non native speaker, in SC the latter helped me more)
3. Re look into your preparation materials
4. Don't time yourself immediately (realized by my own misdirections, it only resulted in frustrations)
5. Refer to books suggestion in forum to improve RC (very important for non natives)

Most importantly don't rush for exam dates, be confidant of your practice status before giving it another shot

All the best
