You definitely don't have to worry about schools holding a GMAT retake against you, Sidd. They always take the highest score, and it's pretty standard to see applicants retake the exam these days. It's mostly a matter of figuring out whether a retake is actually worth your time at this point in the application calendar.

If you haven't already, you might want to check out the main "should I retake the GMAT" thread, which includes some pretty stellar advice from bb: should-i-retake-gmat-thread-retaking-gmat-strategies-83339.html

Hi GMATNinja
Ok,so basically you are saying that if in case i give it a second shot and end up on a lower score i can still apply with 700 score with no negative impact ,correct. Also i had another question is integrated reasoning score considered very important by the schools as i need to improve that tremendously .

Thanks in advance

Thanks and regards,

Exactly--if you give the GMAT a second shot, schools will look at your higher score, even if it comes on your first test.

For the most part, MBA programs aren't terribly concerned about IR yet. The IR section is still new, and nobody really knows if it is an accurate predictor of student success in business school or beyond, so it's not really a factor in admissions for this season. It's possible that IR will become more important in future seasons, but for now, the best advice is to put enough energy into it that you don't embarrass yourself... but a 4 or a 5 is probably fine for now.

Hi GMATNinja

Thanks a lot for your advise, with your encouragement i will give the exam another crack, just wanted to know as you must be knowing in India there is a huge craze for ISB Hydrabad ,so wanted to know what sort of score and profile would be good for that school and also for Nus Singapore ,also are there any scholarships available for the various mba schools around the world , also are these global mba schools (like American schools Nus etc) 1 year programs or 2 year programs.

Thanks again for all your help ,

Thanks and regards,
Sidd
