Officialy turned down Tuck this week....It was a very extremely tough choice, but as many people on here have said "you have to be passionate about the program." I thought the school and everyone I met seemed extremely nice, intelligent and welcoming, but in the end I just didn't think it was a great fit. Best of luck to everyone applying and hopefully I just made someone on the waitlist very happy!

Good luck homes. And thanks for opening up a space for someone else at Tuck. All your schools are awesome!

January seems to be unusually long this year. I have been waiting since my interview in the middle of December. Well, now it's only 12 days left :)

Any Tuckies know the difference between Achtmeyer & Pineau-Valencienne Halls or living at Whittmore Hall? I'm filling out the housing application now, and unsure about the advantages/disadvantages between the two halls. Any help would be great appreciated! Thank you.

That still leaves 3 schools! Where you leaning? Or have you withdrawn from other places?

Have their been any cases of applicants gettin into tuck without interview?

This question was asked at a Tuck information session and the adcom member said that sometimes re-applicants may not have to interview but if you are applying for the first time you will be either invited to interview or can initiate one.

PV and Achtmeyer are newer and hence a little nicer. Newer dorms have kitchen on every floor and sleep number beds. Whittemore has a shared kitchen downstairs and regular beds. Whit is closer to the building where the classrooms are. That's about it for the differences. Unless, something changed in the school policy you can't really choose which dorm you want to be in - it's a lottery-based assignment and not everyone gets the dorm room in the first place.

Hi, if I haven't received interview invite before Jan 31 for the Jan around, does that mean that I was rejected?

Not necessarily, you could be waitlisted. I've heard of instances when one or two interviews were conducted a few days before the deadline, but that is not normal.

For some reason I got an email this morning confirming Tuck received my official GMAT scores. I sent them back in November...odd.

Don't forget about the "heart attack email" you'll get this Friday from Tuck just "reminding" you that decision notifcations will be available in a week. As if you haven't had Feb 8 circled on your calendar for months.

Best of luck to everyone!

Same here. It was in the middle of the night, and I sleepily read Tuck, and jolted upright hoping it was an early admittance lol. Only 10 more days!

Got the same email. Instantly jolted me awake when I saw part of the subject line on my iphone. Haha
