You would have been informed when you were called. However, I actually never received the call (EA round), but was admitted and I emailed admissions about whether I received $$, to which admissions confirmed.

CobraKai, sorry to hear the WL for Tuck. But at least you've got Johnson in the pocket, and I guess I have huge chances to see you on campus this fall.

No doubt - I've been WL since EA round, so I'm not holding my breath.

Were you informed of the aid in your acceptance letter or somewhere on the class of '15 website? Im trying to find out if I got any scholarship money (hahaha, highly unlikely, but want to see anyway). Thanks!

You're not alone. I was wondering the same thing!

I was informed of my scholarship amount on the call. They told it would be in the official letter.

Thanks! Before I read this, I had called the Financial Aid Office this morning and they said precisely the same thing.

Let the deliberations begin!

Depends. Are you international/US Military deployed?
If so... then I think the Tuck interview invite is just like other schools' invites (we like you enough to learn more).
If not... then I do think its more of a positive sign. I was asked to interview (I had actually already scheduled my interview at the time of invite, but thats another story). From what I understand of Tuck admissions, an invite is less common and typically indicates that Tuck thinks you might fit. I wouldn't look at it as "yours to lose"...but certainly a good sign.

Others can chime in too.

Hi,

I just started reading this thread. Have the interview invites for R2 started rolling out?
I am an international applicant and did not self-initiate an on-campus interview. Does that lessen my chances of getting an invite/admit?

Thanks.

Hey atlas7,

Welcome to the forum! I'm not too sure whether the interview invites for R2 have begun rolling out, but I do know that as an international applicant, not self-initiating your interview does not kill your candidacy. Tuck loves to interview everyone, and will appreciate you for travelling to campus to interview (especially if you go out of your way to do it), but the AdCom understands that not every international applicant can travel to Hanover. As such, if you don't self-initiate, and Tuck likes your application, they will invite you to interview with a current student, alum, or over Skype.

Hope this helps! All the best with your application!

Cheers,

Hello, welcome to the forum!
As an international applicant myself, thought I'd might help you out.
I'm from Brazil, also did not schedule a self-initiated interview on campus (I could not travel to Hanover in time), and got my invite on January 28th. I believe this shows that you can definately move forward without a self-initiated interview. Having said that, I believe that by "Round 2" you mean the January round, right? I've seen in this forum people getting invited to interview by the school in different dates for the January round, which leads me to believe that Tuck does not send all invites neither on one particular day, nor in waves. But that is just a guess.
I do not think that you should lose hope if you didn't get an invite thus far. There's still one month to go before the decision release, so there is time. But regardless of what might happen, I don't think that as an international applicant, not going to Hanover automatically kills all your chances. If (and may God forbid!) you are unsuccessful, it will probably have more to do with you application, than the fact of not going to Hanover.

Best of luck to you!

True. I have had a self-initiated interview in October and then submitted my application in January round. In most schools you start the process submitting an application - and here this is a kind of a final step. Then you just wait...

I feel like I somewhat lack this "connection" to the school after the application was submitted... I really enjoyed the place, the visit experience, students were really nice and interesting - and then you just don't know where you stand. Maybe my application is already used to build up a fire in some cold Hanover house's fireplace...

Well that's depressing imagery. But, if you write like that, maybe your essays were great and they're just waiting until March to give you the good news!
