NUS 2013 - Calling All Applicants!

and what flavors are we talking about?
It's not for your audition as a hero for an Indian Movie.
You're sending it to a business school to show your potential and traits which can make you successful during MBA and in your post-MBA objective/career.

I think it should be absolutely formal. Dress in a way you would when you walk into the NUS interview. Your image says a lot about you. And about shooting right in front of your office building, I don't think its an amazing idea for 2 reasons.

1. It might be noisy.
2. More importantly, the background might distract the viewer away from YOU, which the video is really about. I think it would be naive to expect that they will rewatch your video hundreds of times considering the number of applications NUS gets.

It depends on what you would like to showcase. If you are a common IIM, better be in your best professional look, you do not have luxury to experiement. If you are showcasing a NGO profile, in one of the remotest part and you are from Sumandose ... you understand what I mean.

The other ,way I can tell you that, you either follow the well traveled and proven path (such as Engineer, Doctor, MBA) and you always have moderate success rate. Or you follow your own path, something truly meaningful and different where you have both the extreme chances, either you are highly successful or just doomed. Just mind that, you need to be liked by someone, whom you have no control. Whether you want to follow the common pattern or you want to be DIFFERENT is your choice, depends on how serious you are about NUS. If you are dying to join NUS, then follow the proven path. If you want to experiment then "just do it" as per your heart.

Some school rejects you does not mean you are less qualified ... it can be the other way too!!

Can anyone resolve few of my queries.

1) I have submitted my application but forgot to attach a copy of the passport.
It is mentioned to do so
" International applicants - A copy of your passport (applies to both the Full & Part Time Programme) "
Can I just log in and attach it to the document section after submitting the application.

2) Is there anything that we need to do after submitting the online application ?
After submitting the application, I read that they have asked for the application form to be printed and sent to them with the required documents .. what all documents are they talking about ?
I am asking this because they have mentioned this on their site "the official transcripts and attested copy of degree scroll for your application will be required after you are offered a place in the NUS MBA or its double degree programmes."

Request you to please take some time out to respond to my queries..

You do not need to send any hard copy now. I have confirmed the same from NUS.
I dont think you need to send the passport copy. If anything is missing from your application they will contact you (ideally).

So just enjoy the wait

Also, can anybody tell me by when should I expect a response? I applied on 31 Jan.

Maybe by First week or Mid of March

Going by last years trend you should get a reply within a month after submitting your application and then the final resuls two weeks after interview

I applied for a PhD-MBA integrated and got an interview call. I have my GMAT scheduled on the very next day. Can I request to reschedule my interview so that I get time to prepare for GMAT and then for the interview.

Please reply immediately as I need to respond promptly.

I am not sure whether this reply is early enough or not, but you can always send a polite mail regarding the change of dates for the interview.

The site mentions

There is also a Transcript form mentioned which mentions

DO NOT RETURN THE TRANSCRIPT TO THE APPLICANT. Please send the official transcript together with this
form directly to the address below in an official sealed envelope with its flap bearing the security seal of the
University and the signature of the Registrar or his/her representative (with the designation indicated on the
envelope).

Now I have the following doubts

1. In the online application which documents I need to submit( I mean attested Marksheet or Transcripts or all 3 (degree,transcript,marksheet)
2. Is my college required to send the transcripts right now or transcripts would be required after one gets an admission offer.

1. Normally, your online application cannot be submitted if a document is mandatory. Usually, universities require transcripts and degree since transcripts have all the marksheet info. Check your online application portal and if there is an option to upload all 3, I would recommend you to upload all.

2. Immediate requirement for original transcript is university specific. Usually it is very clearly mentioned in the application procedure. However, mail them if in doubt.
