And i have been researching about finance and started studying various concepts in finance to gain an insight about it. I have come across this CFA certification for finance and IB analysts. These certification cost around $1100. My questions are,
Are these certification worth full to take. ? (May be this Q will not appeal to you)
Will these certification provide an niche for my application considering my career goal in finance.?
Will these effort of mine show adcom that i am taking some effort for my intended career.?
Please help me here.. Expecting your valuable suggestions.
A CFA is a valuable credential and will show that you are serious about a career in finance and have started to prepare for it. However, "finance" is a very broad term. I am not familiar enough with the CFA to say what fields it is highly relevant for and where is it less relevant. It is definitely worthwhile if it is important in your particular field. It is less worthwhile just as an admission credential. Realize that a significant percentage of applicants in financial services do go for the CFA.
Best,
Linda
