Hi All,
Getting back to some of you who asked about the job situation in this Euro Crisis context. I asked directly Mary Carey, our Career Services Director for some fresh news about the job market. Here is her reply:
Employment in Western Europe has held quite steady with a slight shift downward balanced by a corresponding uptick in Asia Pacific. For the most part, the kinds of job losses that are reflected in increased overall unemployment rates are not MBA level jobs. Having said that, worsening economic news does effect the overall job market. We have seen an increase in the time it takes graduates to find the right job and many have to work harder to achieve what they want than in times of more upbeat economic news. I hope that this is helpful. Things are definitely tougher at the moment but recruiters continue to come to INSEAD and there continues to be job opportunities in Europe.
Cheers,
Have all a wonderful week!

Dear Camille,
You are doing a world of favor by addressing such critical concerns of ours !!!
In continuation to your above post, given that it has been over an year since you last shared your views on the job prospects, how does the job scenario look for INSEAD graduates today ? A separate information on Western Europe and Asia Pacific will be appreciated. Also, it will be helpful to have a speculative view on the job scenario in these markets for say 2014 and onwards.
Many thanks,
Nishant
