Yeah at this point I don't have any energy left to analyze being waitlisted. It's better than a decline which would have sucked. I just would like to know a definite answet because I have a potential job offer in the mix. I really want school, so an acceptance would make the decision easier to make.

If it's a promotion offer, tell McCombs. That can move you up the wait list.

What do you mean if its a promotion they can move me up the list?

It's a new job with a new company, but a senior manager upgrade. The opp is pretty amazing but not as amazing as an MBA. Lol.

Maybe I'd feel more lucky if I had applied to more schools. It's these two or bust. Thankfully my top choice is still up for grabs. And a Waitlist isn't no. **prays to the pagan grad gods**

its more like 110k pre tax so more akin to 140 150k of income :)

thats why you dont wait 15 years unless you have a super low fixed rate of credit haha and can arb the 4 percent with a 6.5 percent MLP ro something

and PLEASE no one take out the 8 percent federal loans when interest rates are half of that -_-

Just like retaking the GMAT and getting a higher score can improve your application, a new job improves your resume. I would call the adcom and see what they tell you.

Good point. I should know an answer about the job in the next week or so. I'm hoping it takes them a while so I will know about UNC beforehand.

I don't really want to start a new job if accepted to school. It seems kind of wrong and misleading. But at same time I can't keep life on hold as I wait. Thankfully I will know soon! And if I can use it to show my growth, It can't hurt.

I'm also on the McCombs waitlist, and the message when I log in says not to present additional information to the adcom before it is requested. I don't know how much they really care about that (that is, waiting until they ask you for it), but I agree that the job offer will bolster your application.

do you know if we should expect the call from the school or the consortium? I already got acceptance email from the school and they said I will hear from consortium by march 19. I am confused who will call about the fellowship?
