Hi those not admitted yet,
Don't lose your hope. I just want to share with you something I have learned for almost 3 years.
My stats: engineering with 6 years experience, low GPA (~3), GMAT 700. My only strong point is Extracurricular Activity. What I can say is a lot, I spend around 20 hours/week for it.
When I started thinking about a top MBA, i saw no hope because of my weak profile. However, I set a goal and gave it a try, started my GMAT 2 years ago, my first GMAT was 580, second 660 and the third 700. In fact, it was not a pleasant journey, a lot of pain and discouragement, but it was the only way for me to compensate my low GPA
I applied a top MBA last year, got interview and dinged, the adcom told me that my stats is too weak. I applied again this year the same school in round 1 and dinged without an interview.
I came to Ross when I did a research about schools and I think Ross is a great match for me. Ross essay gave me a lot of motivation. I only applied Ross since I do not see my values match with other schools. Even though I need an MBA but I do not buy the strategy of applying 3-4 schools to secure a position. In fact, my friends told me I did a risky bet, and I did not know whether I would be admitted.
A few days ago, when I browsed this forum and found that most of people here have a better profile than me (in term of GPA and GMAT), I was really worried, but I got a call last night and broke into my greatest happiness.
So, my lesson is that you may be worried, but don't lose your hope. If you really want an MBA, find the school that matches your value. It is really helpful when you apply to the school. It looks like a sharing process in which your essay, your interview are from your heart. I think it is the key I am admitted.
Good luck everyone.
