hey guys!
I have a question about scholarship:
about a week to 10 days ago, i received an email saying my application decision was available. go i logged into the online application system and saw that i was admitted (at this point, it was not the FORMAL admission, there was no deposit information in the decision letter).
in the next few days, i was hopping to see the second email with the possible scholarship information. about three days went by - nothing. out of curiosity, i logged back into the online application system, and realized that the "Decision letter" was changed. this one told me that i was "FORMALLY ADMITTED", and mentioned about the deposit amount, deadline, the link to submit the deposit, etc.
another 2 days went by, i received a letter in the MAIL. it just congratulated me about the admission, and said that i was "classified as a out-of-state student for tuition purpose". again, nothing about scholarship.
just to recap, i received ONE email, saying the decision was available. and in the online application system, the decision letter was changed from the original one (informally admitted) to the new one (formally admitted) with the deposit information. and i also received a actual letter in the mail that congratulated my admission. none of these has any scholarship information.
so does it mean that there is NO scholarship/fellowship for me at all? for the people who did not get a scholarship, did you just receive one email when the decision became available? or you also received a second email tells you that the decision is updated with the deposit information? just wondering if they are still going to send that second email with the possible scholarship info, or i am DONE
thanks a lot guys!
I got scholarship information in a second email, within a week of the initial acceptance email. It was also in the packet mailed. If you aren't sure, you should call the admissions office, but I believe any scholarship info would have definitely been in the mailed packet.
