For the Stanford obsessed... the GSB magazine (i.e. the Harbus equivalent) is now being posted online (used to be paper only): https://www.gsbreporter.org/

Hi, not sure why you're thinking it's a ding already. Looks like you have a pretty amazing profile and an interview just upped your odds big time. Good luck and I have no doubt you'll get into the school that's best for you!! Congrats on both interview invites.

Your chances are good, no? ~50-60% admit rate from interviews?

On the bright side...at least you got an interview! :)

Congrats to all of the lucky folks who received an interview at Stanford! I'm one of the many who have not heard anything since submitting my R2 application. I realize that at this point my chances are pretty abysmal, but couldn't help myself from asking if any R2 applicants for the Joint MBA/MA in Education program received an interview... Thanks! It would help me (mentally) to know so that I can put the nail in the coffin. :)

I literally feel like someone kicked me in the stomach... all I read was that it was from Admissions and that something was "...Now Available"

Yes, how about you send me an interview invite instead of joint degree advertisements? I would love to pursue this joint degree, but it won't happen if I don't get into the MBA program!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well said my friend. For a moment I thought "could it be?". Pure evil! Just curious though, did anyone NOT get this email??

That was a double kick, for some reason I got the e-mail twice! I believed for a second, the second e-mail was an invite!!

From what I hear, interviews can come even 1-2 days before the deadline. So...who knows? For all of those (myself included) who are still in limbo on an invite, good luck. At least in a week the waiting will be over, regardless of our outcomes!

very slim chances of an invite now.. its practically over... though technically we may need to wait for another week for them to say it out loud!

Just as I was starting to accept not receiving an invite, this email brought back all my anxiety! Finally, a joint degree program I would love to pursue but I guess it won't be happening. Surely, I should not form part of the ad campaign anymore.

Re: Stanford GSB 2013 - Calling all Applicants [#permalink]
I agree, after getting the joint degree email, the peace I had made with not getting an interview invite deteriorated. I called the admissions phone number and listened to the recorded message about interviews. It says that interview invitations are currently being extended, and they will continue to do so through the decision date of March 27th.

Everywhere else (including a previous poster who called and talked to someone, I think) said interviews are extended til 1-2 weeks before the deadline. I'm not sure what to think, but the optimist in me wants to hold out a teeny glimmer of hope.
