C, D, E are out.

C seems to indicate that the same babies were born to the females who were above the age of 30.

A it is.

I think B has a different meaning.

More babies were born to women over the age of thirty than born under it (the age of thirty)

could (C) also be eliminated because of the vagueness of the word 'they'?

THEY in C refers to exact same children. How can they be born to 2 women. C is wrong...

where is this question taken from? A seem like the only one that works although i can go with C as well. any official explanation?
