Alright, so here's my deal:
26 years old, white male; UGPA: B.A. in Philosophy, 3.5 with grade replacement, 3.0 without; GMAT: 790; Law School GPA: 3.6, Top 15% at a top 100 law school; WE: 1.5 years as a law clerk/attorney, 1.5 years as a test prep instructor for LSAT/GMAT/MCAT at a major test prep company (both experiences concurrent)
So, basically, what are my chances of getting in at a top program (HBS, Booth, Kellogg)? Obviously my UGPA worries me, as does my lack of WE. What about my law degree? Is that a red flag as well? In general, what can I expect? Is it even worth applying this year or should I wait a year or two?
Thanks in advance for the help.
A law degree is not a red flag, and in your case, you strong performance actually helps you. I share your concerns about your work experience, but wonder what you have been doing as a law clerk/attorney and wonder why you want an MBA at this point. Would you consider going something business-related for a at lest a year and then applying?
Best,
