I am debating about taking the new GMATPrep software as one of my practice CATs.

Does anyone have any opinions.

I am taking the the real test before the end of this year and I already have used OG 10th edition so using the older CAT would probably be useless, since it would just be an overinflated score anyway.

I think GMATPrep tests are good because you get OG like questions with minimal overlap. PP is not a good indicator of your score already finished OG.
My scores on GMATPrep and PR online are similar. I haven't taken the test yet so can not corelate with the real test.

Another person on here said that the questions didn't overlap, so I'd go for it. The changes they made between the interfaces aren't big enough to make it a bad thing to prep with the new one.

I found them quite different, actually. GMATPrep's questions were much harder (especially in quant) but their scoring was much more leniant. In contrast, PP's questions seemed much more like the "real thing" (this year, at least) and were much easier, but the scoring seemed tougher. I think I got a lot more questions wrong on GMATPrep's CATs but still scored around the same as I did on PowerPrep. Both scores turned out to be pretty predictive of the real test, though the level of difficulty of the questions was much more like PowerPrep in my opinion.
