Re: A train running at 81 km/hr takes 24 seconds to cross a [#permalink]
what i did is relative speed =(81+9)=90*5/18=25
let the lenght of plt =x
distnce for: x/25=10..so x=250???
i feel more information should be there.

Re: A train running at 81 km/hr takes 24 seconds to cross a [#permalink]
How I solved:

81 km/hr = 22.5 m/s
9 km/hr = 2.5 m/s
RS = 25 m/s
Lt + Lp/22.5 = 24sec
Lt = 25 m/s * 10 = 250 metres
Hence, 250 + Lp/22.5 = 24
Therefore, Lp = 290 metres.

Hope that helps.

Is Angelina Jolie banned from Canadian television sets?

She's pretty famous here in Uhmerrikuh.

And Gmatclub is such a boyzone!

hehe, just didn't recognize her in that outfit. Change that picture, it is too distracting. How am I to focus on such a beautiful problem with such a despicable woman in the background?
