Duke is one school in the optional interview camp.
Interview
Interviews are not required, but are strongly encouraged for all candidates. Interviews are conducted by admissions staff, alumni and admissions fellows (select second year MBA students). All candidates are encouraged to come to campus for an interview. Applicants living outside of the United States and in select cities on the west coast of the U.S. have the option to request an alumni interview. All interviews are evaluated equally regardless of location or interviewer.
UCLA:
Although interviews are not required, many applicants find that an interview provides them with an opportunity to personalize their individual cases beyond what has been articulated in the application.
Emory:
Interviews are strongly encouraged as part of the application process
Washington Olin:
An interview is not required for admission to the Olin MBA Program. An interview, however, is an opportunity that we encourage, as it may allow you to more fully address your candidacy for admission beyond the confines of the application.
Indiana is another school where interviews are optional but strongly encouraged.
Well, color me stupid. I was wrong.
