Please don't take this personal, but I find it really surprising that you were dinged by OSU with a 690. Based on the limited background information provided, I have a strong hunch that you must have submitted some poor/mediocre essays. Don't take the GMAT again, just focus on your writing skills. Revise your essays the best you can, heck even pay a professional to get some input, and reapply to a few schools in R2. Your stats are already strong enough.
