Interesting. What are you going to do? Are you going to bust your ass and try to get in off the waitlist or are you going to tell them to f off and be content with the GSB admit?

Undecided - on the one hand, it seems silly not to try and get off the waitlist and have the luxury of choice. On the other hand, I'm definetly not unhappy with the GSB.

I may just take a day or two off and go spend an entire day at Kellogg and an entire day at the GSB, and then determine whether or not I feel like Kellogg's really worth fighting for. Right now, I can't say I really do - my strong ties to the school definetly give it a bit of the "been there, done that" feel - but in all fairness, I haven't given Kellogg the same opportunities to impress that I gave the GSB. (Or rather, Kellogg hasn't extended the same opportunities that the GSB has, thus, it hasn't impressed as much).

Wow, they updated the status on a weekend?

Anyways, congrats (kinda) as the only GMATClubber (thus far) to get a non-DING. Best of luck in your choices!

(And, god D*MN the competition must be freakin insane this year!)

Sort of, but I cant say I'm really crying about it. It's clear this year was a hard one at Kellogg, and I took some risks in my essays, so it doesn't come as a HUGE suprise. Looking at the stats of other people who got dinged, frankly, I'm lucky I even got waitlisted.

What's wrong with freebie A's..I don't care. It allows one to take advantage of everything else that a b-school has to offer. The GSB vs Kellogg debate is overblown..you can't go wrong with either.

GSB Vs Kellogg....catfight..GRRRR !

The only dissapointing thing is that I've heard Kellogg is a cakewalk - people don't do much of anything and A's are handed out like candy - it would have been an easy 2 years. GSB on the other hand has a much harsher grading policy - professors have to keep something like a 3.25 average across their courses, so it's definetly not freebie "A" city.

It might help if you guys on the wait list hug some trees. :)

It's too bad that nobody from here has been admitted to Kellogg yet.

Yeah, for all the things that GSB has going for it, it seems that Kellogg is the tougher school to get into and the more "popular" school for applicants. Thats just the vibe I've always gotten, but I don't know how the applicant numbers compare. GSB is sort of secretive about their stats.

I want someone to create a graphic with a little pancake sweating and hustling his way to the Kellogg finish line, with all of us cheering in the background. Go, Flapjack, Go!

(hey, anyone ever go see Milwaukee Brewers games? They have sausage races, sorta similar to the pancake thing. Italian versus Polish versus...the other one. Don't remember. Man, I LOVE being from Wisconsin!)

Rhyme, thanks for the support. Did you just happen to check the application status page and notice the Waitlist decision, or did you receive an email?

I honestly don't even know if I'll hear anything tomorrow because my interview was late in the process.

I have not yet received an email or phone call from Kellogg regarding any decisions, and my application status page has not been updated.

I got an email and then went and looked. I wasnt expecting anything, so there you go.

What does your application status page say? Complete right?

Good luck!
