Just got an email from Stern telling me I've been accepted. Although I'm still leaning towards BU w/ a full-ride, I went ahead and threw in a Stern avatar so I can relish the accomplishment, and maybe I can still convince myself to go there.

There are so many little things that come up in the course of applying, so many things that you need to know. And most of them aren't intuitive, and many of them aren't in Montauk's book. But GMATClub has literally answered every question I've had. Random things about gifts for recommenders or how to follow-up after an interview or any number of other things. It's been great being able to turn to the wisdom of the crowds with you all. So I guess what I'm trying to say is thanks!

Congrat!!

I would say it is too difficult to turn down stern for BU...

although bu has a great ms.mba program, stern is a top 10 MBA program with so much more and better opportunities available after graduation!

Congratulations Johnny.

I already mentioned something similar to you in a message a few weeks ago, but the best way you can thank the good folks at GMAT Club is by paying it forward. There is absolutely nothing like advice from someone who has been there.

Congrats on the admit!!

I can identify with your decision. While I am only on Stern's WL, I too would probably turn them down because Wisconsin has offered a partial scholarship. I figured Stern would be about 50k + more expensive.

Great job! I was really hoping that things would work out for you. It's going to be a tough choice for you, but I'll vote for NYU if you are taking suggestions.

Thanks guys!

Praet - Funny, I was reading an old email the other day, something I wrote to a friend about a year ago and in the email I said, "I'm about to start studying for the GMATs." Kind of like Bush and the "internets." So yeah, I've learned not to call the test the "GMATs" and I've learned a ton of other stuff from this site that I'll be willing to share w/ the next crop of applicants.

Congrats Johnny! I vote for NYU too, the NYC advantage is just very big to ignore.

Congrats dude. NYU all the way IMHO, the financial benefit over your lifetime will far exceed the schol at BU.
