For the (self-reported) transcript which is read-only, how does one indicate more than 8 courses in one term?

I had the same problem, and the adcom advised me to indicate dates for every single course taken or make it clear otherwise.

I filled all my courses in disregarding the gray borders around the eight-subject sections, and I filled term dates in every line of the Term Dates column. Also I left one blank line where one semester ended and another started.

ESSAY QUESTION [#permalink]
hey y'all...for the essay question that asks you about a challenging interaction you had with a person, don't you all think that talking about another person might pose a privacy issue? like if I were to talk about a bad manager I had or something, isn't that something that he has to know about? maybe i'm just overthinking this. also, can we use aliases? like "I'll refer to him as bob"...

You can 'unprotect' the sheet and add rows to it.

Go to TOOLS->PROTECTION->UNPROTECT SHEET

It is protected for a reason, and if they wanted you to combine sections, they would then give specific details about this. In an email they sent me, they clearly indicated that the space in the form was limited.

What did you do for other apps? Didn't you add rows? They are not so stubborn. You can use your imagination and make such modifications.

I guess, the best way is to ask the school whether it is acceptable to 'unprotect' the sheet and modify it, i.e. add rows, change numbers, etc.

They ARE great; their response time is usually several hours. And they DO answer questions, and make things very clear.

Got this reply from MIT Sloan (after 9 days):
In response to your email, just continue with your subjects in the next
section, but make sure and label accordingly.

"Unprotecting" the sheet is a no-no. I asked a few people who create such forms for other purposes, and they say quite often a user-submitted spreadsheet is then used as part of a database so keeping the original formatting is important.
