Leadership essay [#permalink]
This leadership essay is killing me... Just the definition of leadership is a bit lofty to me, "inspiring others to achieve great things...." It makes me think that I need to have influenced someone to turn their life around, cure cancer and win the NYC marathon.

Hi Guys:

I have an interview on 11/8/07 at the campus. Do you recommend that I wear a suit or you think business casuals is OK?

Wear a suit, I was there today and everyone interviewing was in a suit except for one guy who was in a blazer and slacks (was also the only one who wasn't wearing a tie) but he also owned his own video game company that is carried at target, borders, best buy, and all sorts of big stores...so I am sure his appearance is not going to keep him out.

Weather sucked up there today. 40 degrees and pouring rain. Supposed to be very cold all week so if you are going for more than the day pack a coat.

I have some issues with the self-reported transcript. Is the Term GPA refer to GPA only for that term's subjects or cumulative GPA uptil that term. My school only gives cumulative GPA every term though I can calculate semester GPA if needed but that wont be found on the original transcript.

How do schools look at GPA. I have a good GPA for last 2 years but because of my avg performance in the first 2 years the whole GPA is pulled down.

The GPA is for the term and year are just that. The calculated GPA for that time frame not the overall.

Having a below the average GPA is not going to hold you back (if its not terribly low), as long as you show improvement. Its better to go from 2.8 to 3.2 than to go from 3.8 to 3.4. A GPA and a GMAT above the average will be enough...especially if you have a difficult major, a double major, or from a tough school.

Yea that's what I saw as well, I'm still holding out hope...but not too hopeful at this point. But there is no actual decision date, so who knows?

And how many out of all Tuck applicants post there? :) Think that Tuck could continue posting invites till middle November to be done with interviews by the end and spent remaining 15 days reviewing full files of interviewed once more.

I can see why interviews aren't going out as fast as people would hope. During my visit there was probably a dozen people there interviewing on campus that day alone.

This means bleak chances of an interview invite from TUCK

On the other side, if we take a closer look to the schedule, right now are going applicant-initiated interviews for Round 1, deadline for EA was on October, 10.

Yep, and it's been almost a month. So I'm not really holding out hope anymore...if I get it it'll be a huge suprise.
