Guys,
Did you hear anything from Ross? Any idea when they actively start reviewing stuff?

Accepted.com hosted a chat today with the Ross admissions team. Some important points

Application volumes are UP strongly. They didnt give out figures.
Invites will start rolling out in the next 2 weeks.(probably starting late-teenth Nov).
Apps may be read by a 2nd year student ad-com who is trained in the process.
Apps will be reviewed 3-5 times depending on how unanimously reviewers agree/disagree with each other's evaluation. They will definitely be read by the associate director and the dean.
Recruiting is good for the outgoing year. Students are getting numerous offers.
No specific admit % distribution across the rounds. They will take in as many great candidates as they can get in R1.

Good luck to all.

well if I had to pick one other school(other than of course Chicago) that seems to be getting a lot of "press" nowadays, it is Ross. Have heard a lot of great things and their placements and new facilities have really helped in this. I am not at all surprised at the jump in app volume.

At least from an Indian applicant perspective, I think this is somewhat partly influenced by the perception that both chic and ross are desi-friendly.

And right fully so. I was talking to a friend of mine (2Y student) and he said there are almost 100 desis in his batch- they obviously include ABCD's but still 100 sounds like a lot :)

That doesn't sound right at all. Traditionally ross accepts 40 desis and 40 chinese internationals. Are you saying they took in 60 ABCDs?

The total intake is 420 and 100 is almost 25%. I am pretty sure that number is wrong.

yeah i agree it looks high but then if you look at the B-week profile for Ross- it has 36% students from Asia while the current class has 18% (from the entering class profile on the Ross website). So maybe the number of Asians (and hence Desi's) has decreased ?

I just got an invite to interview with Ross. I might have got an invite early as I applied to the Tauber Institute and I am an international student (from Canada). I am sure your invites will be rolling in soon. Any tips would be much appreciated.
