How would lower rung schools take me?

Yeah, I think that the same things would pretty much apply to lower-ranked schools. They may have lower mean GMAT scores, but your biggest challenge will still be separating yourself from similar applicants. If I were you I'd spend more time on that than anything else.

I agree with what was said before - the GMAT appears low even for the higher range of near elite schools.

While a high GMAT or GPA is not a sufficient condition for admission, scores at the far left tail of the distribution are unlikely to improve one's chances of admission.

However, this score would probably be competitve toward the mid-range of the near elite at schools such as Wisconsin and Case Western.
