CUNY Hunter College (along with my alma mater, CUNY Lehman College) also has a great MS in Accounting program; it's the one I'm trying to get into.

Lehman's MS is pretty good; it has a bigger emphasis on public finance (they offer grad courses in accounting for the SEC, gov't and nonprofit, etc.) than Hunter's. At Hunter, you have more a choice on if you'd like to do the work required for a public or private firm.

The best thing though about them is that unlike Baruch's 27% acceptance rate, you not only have a good chance of getting into their programs, but the tuition is REALLY cheap...it's like $3500/semester full time last time I checked. My dad completed his MPA at Rutgers, his job covered the expenses but if he had to pay it would've been $10k/semester.

I work for the NYC office of a Big 4 firm and St. John's and CUNY Baruch are huge feeder schools.
