Having seen many admits for McCombs who were interviewed abroad by alums, I don't think they care much for where you are interviewed.
It is likely that you will hear your decision even before you start your US trip.
Good luck on your interview.

Hey all. Advice sought:
OK, not quite 1/2 way around the world but it's quite a hike from Germany to Texas.
I've been able to shuffle my schedule a bit and have found a few days where I can visit Houston (Rice) and Austin (Texas) in early March. I'm in at Rice and want to visit campus which is reason enough for the trip right there.
The question I have is regarding Texas. I scheduled my interview with a German alum in Frankfurt (tomorrow) assuming that I wouldn't be able to find the time to visit campus. Now that I can, I want to show Texas that I've put forth the effort to come to them. That said, if I have my interview tomorrow, and visit campus two weeks later, what are the odds of them glossing over that rather substantial gesture on my part? While my visit will be formally scheduled, I'm not convinced that that information will make it into my file before it gets reviewed. I suppose I could cancel my alum interview, and schedule an on-campus one instead, but I'm hesitant to do that with such short notice.
Ideas?
