Hey, thanks guys. If you guys are still working on the GMAT, don't give up. I saw a basketball video, in which the coach said: "You outwork your opponent, you deserve success." I try as much as I can to live by that line.

As for Jay-Z, he didn't have to take the GMAT. In his advertising campaign, he stated that "I got my MBA from the Marcy Projects." :)

Re: My GMAT experience (long) [#permalink]
In regards to Verbal, I did the following:

1. Read. Read the Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, Economist, etc. This imporves your RC and SC.
2. Memorize idioms. You can find good idiom lists here and elsewhere. I recommend memorizing them. Helps SC.
3. Find little tricks in SC. For example: sentences that include terms such as 'being' and 'there is' are usually (95+%) wrong. Cross them out.

Verbal takes more time to improve than Quant.

I hope this helps.

dear accompanies,

I will move to Oxnard next week. I'm struggle with GMAT too, my 1st score is 450, I will retake it by end Mar this year.
I am looking for someone who has same schedule with me and living in Oxnard to share study.

By the way, I'm looking for the VErbal workout, and Peterson Writing skill? IF anyone can help me out?

Please someone help me because this is my last chance, I have to come back to VN end Mar too. I must get good score this time.

I'm diging out with the Manhattan SC and power score CR bible. I follow your all advised to work out on my weak. I feel a little bit better but still so worried. I spent 13-15 hours a day in library and at home, but ....

Please help me!!!!

Thank you so much

WOW! Thanks for sharing your story I was laughing so hard. I never thought I would read such a funny story or anything like this on GMAT website. Anyways, I am terrified of how I am gonna do it :). I will take the GMAT on July 12th, and I have not started studying. I probably should, right? :P But I know somehow that everything will be alright:)
Thanks again and Congrats on your 720 with a High Five:)
