Definitely Haas. It's a great school for you want to do, is on the rise as you pointed out, and is in one of the best areas in the country. I should have applied there >.<

I voted Kellogg. Yes it is cold! But, it is just 21 months. I always think it is best to diversify your school portfolio (that way you dont seem more open minded and not stuck in your Berkeley comfort zone). I know goals matter, but I think it boils down to the individual once you are at a top school.

Sorry, UCLA is not in the running in my opinion. I have to vent because after experiencing the incompetence of the admissions office, I promptly decided not to attend (I even cancelled my ticket to the diversity weekend). I know what the say dont judge a program by a few individuals but I could not help it.

K, you know how I feel about this. Haas :-D

Seriously, I think you could do amazing things coming from any of those programs. But given your future plans, I think Haas will give you your best shot.

kryz, quick question: Which school are you leaning towards right now? However slight it may be.

I say Haas, and from your explanation of each school it's pretty obvious you do too. List Haas first, comment about the weather, but do not list that as a plus for Anderson, come on. Good luck to you werever you decide!

If he wants to be in tech, I don't know why he'd want to get away from a tech-guy image. :)

WOW! that was a lot of votes in 8 hours! Thanks everyone!

Oh yeah, forgot about weather for UCLA... though it is a bit too warm down there compared to the Bay Area, and the smog. :P

Kidderek, I'm leaning Haas right now, though a lot of the admitted student webpage things are definitely impressive for Kellogg, which is why I had the "private school" comment.

mNeo and nervous (and maybe NC if he chooses Ross), I will definitely miss you guys if I go to Haas, but either you guys really believe Haas is better or you just don't want me around in the same town. hahahaha

river, you probably will win that bet. Odds are good for you. :)

Kryzak,

I voted Haas. I have very similar goals to yours, entrepreneurship and Asia development, which helps me draw the same conclusion as yours about Haas. Kellogg is higher ranked and is private, but in Asia it simply does not have the same cachet as Berkeley. Hell, my grandmother in China knows what Berkeley is but when I told her I was going to Northwestern undergrad she had no idea where that was :)

In my opinion Haas is better for entrepreneurship. But I think if you are looking to expand your horizons you might meet very different people at Kellogg, and probably get to explore some different career fields. But if you are 100% set on tech management, then I would go with Haas.

If you want to stay in the tech industry I would go with Haas from the information I have gathered. However, I do not think you could go wrong with either.

Imagine ... Kryzak goes to Haas and after taking a few courses and getting exposed to people from all kinds of backgrounds, he realizes that he wants to pursue a career in Marketing. He starts talking to recruiters, and they tell him, "Dude, with your non-marketing background, you should have applied to Kellogg to get top Marketing jobs."

yeah, that would SUCK big time...

I sat at a Marketing table at Anderson, and will do the same at Haas and Kellogg just to see if there's any off chance that I like marketing. Marketing is important for any thing you do (including entrepreneurship), but I don't know if I would do pure marketing/brand management.
